Thread: Blurry Scenery and Textures

  1. Default Blurry Scenery and Textures

I have a quick question... I have noticed, that while flying for a few minutes, sometimes the scenery textures of the ground look very fuzzy, and are made up of large, indestince squares. When I go into Simulation Rate, and increase the rate at 8X, after I change the rate back to normal, the scenery that was blurry and indestinct becomes detailed again. Roads and highways re appear. All my settings are bumped up to the highest level possible. I was wondering what this problem may be.

    Thanks,

    Matt

What are the spec's of your computer? What are your hardware settings? What do you have your frame rate locked at?

The chances are you are asking your computer to do more than it is capable of doing and, therefore, you end up with the blurry textures as your computer simply can't render the graphics quick enough with the slider positions you have selected.

Try turning the detail down a bit, set the frame rate at 18 - 20 fps and see what happens.

    Richard.

    I will try that...

but the thing is, I start off with a very detailed background, then fly a few miles, and the ground textures are blurry. If I go to 8X simulation rate (even for one second) and then go back to normal, the sim takes a while to reload (or refine), and the image below is clear again.

    Thanks,

    Matt
