Thread: Fs into Windows media?

  1. Default Fs into Windows media?

    Hello.

I was wondering, is it possible to convert FS2002 movies(the ones you save in the game) into windows media player type files.

    Thank's.

The ones you save in the game aren't movies per se, just instructions for the simulator to play a certain scenerio without user interaction. That is to say, they don't contain any image information. So you can't really "convert" them as there's nothing to convert! However, some simmers have had good luck using video cards with tv out to dump the images into a video recorder and then importing them back into the PC for editing. You can also use one of several utilities that captures movies directly from your screen in real time, but if you think about the overhead FS2002 takes on its own and then add in a resource-hungry app that does capture and compression in realtime, you see that it takes a monster computer to do this even relatively smoothly. I'm sure others will have more details.
