graphic card?

Since starting with fs2002 I have experienced total freezing of my computer at the end of a flight, solved only by switching off.
System is athlon 1700+,Asus a7v133mb, Diamond viper 550 graphics card.Thinking the graphics might be the problem, I downloaded the latest drivers and the freezing seems to have stopped although there has been the occasional halt for 1/2 second or so.
However certain photographs now do not have the correct resolution and certain video clips look like they were hand painted.
Can anyone help? Does this mean a new graphics card? If so, any recommendations? Many thanks in anticipation.

Yes, your graphics card is long in the tooth. I recommend you try GeForce 4 Ti 4200/64MB, if your computer has an AGP slot. Search www.pricewatch.com for prices.
