Default A departure from my vow...

Today, an innocent bus driver was attacked by a wackjob wielding a "box-cutter".

What does this tell you? What will the media do and say about box-cutters? What is the long term lesson for our society?

Think about this, think very carefully and ask yourself; is the government to blame for the attack? Are they to blame for not stopping the nut case?

    Is Flightsim 2000 to blame?

I have said that it will get weirder and weirder and yet I still have not seen the media or the government implement a true "homeland defense" program that involves the citizenry. My question is, when and how much will it take before we are allowed to actually defend ourselves?

    Todd :-wave

When will the average US citizen be allowed to exercise his/her right to carry a concealed weapon to defend themselves and the innocent around them?

PS Please forgive my departure, but I am really concerned about the overall safety of our nation right now, really. I am especially concerned about the emergence of "isolated" incidents like this one in which truly crazy people lose it and start operating with ideas recieved from somewhere else. I don't want anyone I care for to be the target of such an attack and not have a recourse.

Lets everybody calm down! The fact is, there have always been incidents of whacko people doing whacko things. It happens! Doesn't mean we have to like it, but it happens.
The next fact is, this Greyhound bus incident is not related to the incidents of September 11th. Sure... the closeness of the incidents is whats setting everyone off into parinoid mode. I understand that. But get a grip fellas!
As for your concealed weapons comment... I'm not going to touch that with a 10ft pole! I recommend no one else does either.

    Hi Todd
I live in Australia and the biggest thing in my life (apart from the wife and my kids) is the time I can spend on flightsim.
Please try not to shoot your mouth off about all things political.
We understand the hurt you all must feel in the United States and we are grieving for you all, however lets not let the events cloud our judgement. It is a great world out there (apart from the few idiots and biggots and loony tunes), It is especialy enjoyable to us who have the great hobby of flying our simulators. We have a great bond with all other simmers around the globe,we help each other, swap ideas, produce great add-ons as freeware, and best of all we can call on friends whenever we want and they will help us out without thought of reward.

My family are feeling the crisis a lot, as my eldest son is in Combat Support with the Royal Australian Airforce and has been selected to go overseas also. How do you think we feel???

Todd I do not know how old you are, neither do I know your circumstances, but please lets keep this forum for the specific purpose for which it was intended, and that is for the betterment of the flightsim community.

Todd,I wish you a safe passage through life with one thing in your heart, concern for your fellow man.

If,I had a religous belief it would be this:- THE WORLD IS MY COUNTRY AND MY RELIGION IS DOING GOOD. !!!!!!

    Cheers Todd
