    Default Can't start the engines?

Sometimes for tsome reason I can't start the engines using Ctrl+E. Sometimes ot works like it should, other times I have to hold ctrl+E for a long period of time before they kick in. Anybody know why this happens? I tried pressing ctrl+shift+f4 prior to this as well, to no avail.

Some of the rewly released aircraft models require you to perform certain steps prior to engine start. If these are not completed properly then no engine start.

Does this happen on a certain aircraft model or all aircraft? If all, then perhaps you have a bad CTRL or E key on your keyboard????

try giving it two shots of full throttle before starting. its priming it.

    Default FS2002 aircraft:

Jets, 747 and 737 make sure throttle is in idle position, click on the engine start button, and watch N2, once it is at 18-20% click fuel switch to on, return to start button, and click again, try not to let N2 go below 16%, and engine will ignite, repeat process for other engines.

Turbines - B350 - Advance throttle full forward, then back to just above idle, prop controls to full and fuel to full forward. Generator switches to on, left engine switch to start, watch gauges, engine will ignite after a few seconds, move prop levers to just above feather to keep rmps down.

Props - Prime engine (singles only with constant speed prop) push primer 3 times. Avdance throttle 1/2" fuel full forward
, mixture full forward. Turn key until engine fires.
(Baron requires multiple mouse clicks to turn engine over, there is an xml gauge fix somewhere on fs for this problem)

Fixed pitch prop - Prime engine advance throttle 1/2" mixture full forward, turn key until engine starts.

    Ace,

Another possibility is if you are shutting down a third party A/C, then reselecting yet another third party A/C.

If you do your shut down, with a default A/C, then select a third party, you shouldn't have trouble.

    Good Luck,
