    Default Finding airports in TTools

I want to find all the GA aircraft at a certain airport to use an overlay, so that they park in the right area. Is there a method or program to find a certain airport in the 23,000 some list of flight plans?

AFCAD, downloadable from this site may be what you are looking for.

    Try AITM by Thomas Molitor.

I have AFCAD, but don't know how to isolate flight plans for an individual airport. I will try AITM thanks.

AFCAD does not deal with flight plans. AITM, used with the Traffictools utility, will allow you to see all the flights in and out of a specfic airport.

"Regarding overlays, I think that they have become overused and I find it discouraging when I see people posting things like four-overlay airports that I know won't work properly.
Because of the issue of proximity to the airport reference point for ATC contact, there are very few airports that have the geometry to allow more than one overlay over a base airport. Single runway airports can't make use of overlays at all.
Overlays can be very effective at airports where different classes of traffic use separate runways and keep to separate parts of the airport, for example an airport where GA aircraft use a runway and terminal separate from the commercial side of the airport. The more mixed the traffic is at an airport, the more difficult it is to make an overlay work, but overlays can often be used to make dual runway operation (i.e. simultaneous landings on two runways) if the terminal or parking area is in between the active runways. Overlays are not an effective method to make airlines park at specific gates or terminals. A much more effective way to do that is to have airlines classed by parking radius. Airports designed with this so-called Radius Method are referred to as RAFCAD airports. "
    Thanks,

Further to the above post, geepeejay, AITM will allow you to 'batch' move any A/C from one A/P to another even if it's to an overlay. AFCAD is not designed for this purpose but you will, of course, need it to create the overlay.
