Default Instruments are not working smoothly!

    Hi,
I experience a strange problem with fs2002 pro:
while the simulator is working smoothly, all the instruments of all the cockpits seem like if they could not follow the game!

    they are lagging.

it is very annoying to fly IFR with that kind of stuff.

    anybody knows a solution?

    my config:
    athlon 1500+
    256 ddr ram
    geforce ti 3-200
    microsoft sidewinder feedback 1
    60 gb

Are you talking about the 747? Just download another panel (lots to choose from, and better ones than default) from flightsim.com

The problem happens with all the different panels!
    not just one.

the simulator is working fine, but it s just the gauges are lacking!

Well just try to download another panel for whatever aircraft you are having problems with, and see what happens. If this does not happen, than we will need to look deeper.

If you you need more help, post it we will help every step of the way.

If you bothered to get off your computers and actual go flying FOR REAL then you would notice that the instruments sometimes tend to lag behind.

But the original post mentions "smoothly". No FS2002 instruments are as smooth as say, X-Plane or even Microsoft's CFS3. Other related factors are frame rates. My instrumentation is not annoying, but they don't have a preferrable smooth fluid movement either.

I have the same hardware with 512DDR. Have also seen the problem on a P4. I've turned the terrain sliders down and disabled the autogen and still have instrument jerkyness. I have FS2000 pro and the instruments run very smooth with the same airplanes.

    Hi Muzzian.
I don’t normally post, but there are a few things that I would like to know.
What type of aircraft are you flying?
    Is it FAA certified?
Have you actually piloted an aircraft?
I’ve been flying since 76 and teaching for a good number and I have yet to see any "Operational instruments" behave like these. I would give them a close approximation, under smooth control input, but as soon as you need to complete a maneuver that requires a large deflection, most of the instruments are very choppy. Thanks.
