    Default fog graphic

I notice the following when "ground fog" is in the view, esp. when flying in mountains. The fog, when contacting mountains which rise above the fog level, has a hard edge and appears like a white "lake" and does not blend softly into the mountain side. Is this normal or do I need to adjust some setting with my video card or something in fs2002. I am using an ATI 8500 dv with most video settings in fs2002 maxed out. The side of the fog that is out over level land blends softly into the clear air. All other clouds are ok. A pic of this is at:

    rwolfe03,

I'm not a graphics expert. It will have something to do with one of the sliders in Options/Settings/Display but that's about as far as I can take it ...

Mine looks like this too. I'd be interested to know if this is just something we've got to accept as part of FS2002 or if it is actually a setting somewhere... My video card isn't that great (Geforce 2 GTS Pro 64 Mb DDR), so I've got a completely different card than you do.

    Hi Guys,

UNcheck Fog table support, in your Video Card settings......You may have to Restart both your PC and 2002, for the change to take place. Also should Reselect a new flight(Don't use select a flight), after Restarting 2002........

    Let us know,

Hi Randy, thanks for the tip. I just tried unchecking fog table support in my vid card options - unfortunatly with the same result. It still had the same white 'lake' sort of look to it. Any chance you have any other tricks up your sleeve? Any help is much appreciated.

    Jason,

Along with the other tips, by the other poster's, You may want to Uncheck antialiasing in 2002, and make sure it is On (checked) in your video card. If you get the same or worse, reverse the above......Check on in 2002, Off in video card.

There's no mention here of anyone having a more realistic look to this situtation.

Mine's exactly the same - does anyone see anything different?

    Dave.
