Rupert
Great screenies of the plane and scenery Adam! "Twenty six miles across the sea. Santa Catalina is waiting for me." RW, Since it's so prominent on the horizon in Orange County, we talked longingly more than once of finding excuses to fly there. But it's a great place for simming! I remember not too long ago a few of us were having a contest concerning how large and laden an aircraft we could land and take off there. I may have to break down and get that one. Michael Being an old chopper guy I usually fly low and slow.

BillD22
Beauties Adam - I had the occasion to visit Catalina a couple of years ago and was fortunate enough to be at the airport at the right time to watch the r/w arrival and departure of one of the daily bare metal DC3 supply flights. These shots capture the r/w look and feel of that experience perfectly :cool::cool:
omega7
I'm packing my bags Adam:cool: looks like one exciting place for vacation, scenery and shots shows the proof of it . Great post buddy:cool:;) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Pat☺ [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Had a thought...then there was the smell of something burning, and sparks, and then a big fire, and then the lights went out! I guess I better not do that again! liner simpilot
Thanks for re posting pics Adam. Fantastic pics & most perfect scenery of Catalina Adam as United Airlines DC-3 use to land on Catalina Island in the 30's. On occasion I landed on Catalina in real life, not my favorite airport as it had cliffs on both ends of runway and downdrafts made it difficult.
