Light Switch Panel

There are several whole aircraft in the file library that have a popup panel for the electrical things like battery, generators, and lights. If you are interested, I'll look through my assortment and see if I can find the download.

2 quick sample of what I found. One is a Volpar and the other is a C-46A. Both are older prop planes. Not sure the type of aircraft or how much stuff you want on the popups.

Thanks for the reply. I need for a Boeing 737-800

I would have to say "Good luck with that!" Out of all of the aircraft, both default and 3rd party, the only one that I could find that could be used for a jet aircraft would be the popup panel called "Electrical" in the Lear45 panel. basically battery, generator, pitot tube, and all of the light switches.

Any special reason for this light-switch popup panel?

I made myself some light panels a while back, do either of these interest you?

Here is the .cab file:

http://www.cat-tamer.com/flightsim/atchmnts/lgt_pnl.CAB

Assuming 1920x1080 screen resolution here are your [WindowXX] entries:

Top panel (rocker switches)

//--------------------------------------------------------

[Window01]

Background_color=0,0,0

size_mm=165,138

position=8

visible=0

ident=338

window_pos= 0.013, 0.539

window_size= 0.0859, 0.128

no_luminous=1

gauge00=lgt_pnl!light_panel_v2_rockers, 0,0,165,138

Middle panel (buttons)

//--------------------------------------------------------

[Window01]

Background_color=0,0,0

size_mm=173,118

position=8

visible=0

ident=338

window_pos= 0.013, 0.539

window_size= 0.09, 0.1092

no_luminous=1

gauge00=lgt_pnl!light_panel_v2_buttons, 0,0,173,118

Bottom panel (old style buttons, this one works in FS9 (and FSX), the two above won't)

//--------------------------------------------------------

[Window01]

Background_color=0,0,0

size_mm=240,120

position=8

visible=0

ident=338

window_pos= 0.013, 0.539

window_size= 0.125, 0.111

no_luminous=1

gauge00=lgt_pnl!light_panel, 0,0,240,120

I have multiple screens and want a window that will stay open. Can you point me in the direction of the Lear45

It's one of your many default aircraft. I like Jim's light panels. Looks exactly like what you wanted.

Thanks Jim! I saved your .cab and panel .cfgs. If I pass them along at a later date, you will get full acknowledgement for them.

Cool Zip, that'll save me writing the readme! :D

There's also a simicon in the .cab that opens window ident=338 BTW, forgot to mention that.

OK, Thanks for the help on this! Take a raise outta petty cash!;)

Mr. Johan, sir,

I found a file in the library. Named PanelMania_v01.zip. It has a very nice push-button/lighted ON panel included and very easy to install alone. Actually, it's got a set of warning lights included, so may be more than you want, but it's still very nice.

Here is a picture:

Jim,

Great panels! Thanks for posting them. I saved them off myself for use later. I won't publish or repost, just for myself. Thank you for them :)

Had a thought...then there was the smell of something burning, and sparks, and then a big fire, and then the lights went out! I guess I better not do that again!

You guys can do whatever you want with them, they're an update for a gauge I made 7 yrs ago for someone in the FS9 forum, consider them public domain.

https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?217804-Default-Learjet-45-Light-problem

From that thread:

It has a switch I believe, for every type of light FS9 supports.

That was BS BTW, I didn't know about cabin lights at that time, lol. I added them in the v2. :)

Hi Jim,

Looks great.

And grafically much better then what I was going to propose, based on a simular addon I made many years ago myself.

I just hope the OP (or other readers) realise that such a generic addon only implement the control of light switches as FS knows/defines them.

Because in many default or addon aircraft, these light switches:

- Are not visually modelled fully.

- Are not visually modelled as intended as their name suggests.

- Are auto-controlled for other applications, like smoke effects and such.

I'm sure you know what I mean ....

But that said: again, great addon.

Best regards, Rob

panelm01.zip ???

Cheers,

It's a total and coplete set of gauges. Essentially, a handy file with a bunch of gauges all assembled together. But included is the lighting panel I included a picture of. You can "pluck it out" and add it to a plane as a pop-up lighting panel.

Does that help?
