FPS Loss with no sound/Monitor Question

Hi all,

Recently bought a GTX 1060 3GB GPU, I'm thinking I will have to upgrade my whole system to get better frames for FSX, even though a new one is coming soon. When I go to full throttle that causes a little frame drop of 5-10 frames, and hitting Q for no sound makes my frames jump to 50-60. Not sure of a fix for this that I know of. Also was thinking that a bigger monitor than I have (currently a 17 inch, my main died a while ago) and going to a 24 inch will improve my frames.

Any help is appreciated

Thanks

Alex

Can't comment on your loss of sound, but getting a bigger monitor will not improve FPS. In fact with a bigger monitor you may need to increase resolution which can have a negative impact of FPS.
