KCD
What a sweetheart of a plane! When I was a young pilot all those years ago, there was a 140 just like that tied down on the ramp. I'd look with envy every time I walked past it to climb into the old rattletrap Champ I learnd in, Oh, how I wanted to fly that 140! Well done, Adam! aviator66
Very Nice. Cessna 140 was my first airplane ride at Springfield Mass. airport ( now a shopping Center) Thanks Adam:cool: Dan As a P-51 pilot said :pilot: "She Climbs Like A Home Sick Angel":pilot:
FlexibleFlier
Wonderful memories! Back in 1961 I quit college to learn to fly. After getting my Private Pilot License at a local airport I enrolled at American Flyers in Ardmore, Oklahoma, and flew the Cessna 140 for my Commercial. A terrific little airplane that taught me a lot. I moved over the to Piper J-3 Cub for my Instructor Certificate and eventually, of course, to larger machines for the Instrument Rating. To this day I believe that all pilots should learn in a tail dragger with minimum instrumentation to truly understand the art of flying.

jfwright
Beautiful set of shots Adam. The Cessna 140 looks great in your scenery. liner simpilot
Perfect scenery for a perfect plane Adam I like the hanger pic. I think metallic chrome is beautiful I would not like to buff it all the time, I know what is like as when I volunteered at a Air Museum there was a P-51 shinning like your C-140 it is a lot of work as it oxidizes so quick, thank God this is FS world. adamb
Mark, Klee, Dan, Michael, Larry, Jason, Jim, il88 and Kenny, thank you very much. :) Jim, I think the squirrel is possessed, as you can see in the first shot he was waiting for me outside the hanger then proceeded to chase me down the runway. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
