dogdish
I bought this $20.00 AFS-design 787 because I wanted to see if I could merge the VC to a TDS 787. Well, forget that idea, the exterior and VC are one, combined model. It's listed as a FSX model, however it only fully works in DX9 and has horrible mip-mapping blurries as is. So I thought I'd have a little fun with it anyways and see if I could make it work in DX10. I selected DX10 and this is what I got... In DX10, the VC looks like this... So I ran ALL the .bmp textures through DXTbmp (Flip image and alpha) and converted them to DXT5 .dds. The textures look sharp now without mip-mapping and this is what I got... The DAY VC now looks like this... and this... However at NIGHT the glass in the VC in DX10 is black... Anybody know how I can fix the black glass problem for DX10? dogdish
Hi Mr zippy Yes I am. I tried messing around with the Legacy settings but nothing helped. Which setting specifically is supposed to fix this? tiger1962
Check that your glass bmp's alpha channel RGB setting is 0,0,0. Tim Wright "The older I get, the better I was..." dogdish
I was thinking of that also. I found the $w01.dds, w04.dds, x1.dds, x2.dds are glass textures but changing the Alpha to clear didn't help. Guess will just have to use DX9 or only fly it in the daytime. God I wish Qualitywings would finish their 787 already.
