NMLW
Click to Enlarge . . . . . . About fifteen miles into Belgium near the city of Verviers known for its textile industry. A few miles north of the city of Liège we see the Meuse River below. Cruising about 45 miles east of Brussels over the Flemish speaking province of Limburg. Just over twenty miles from Brussels over the city of Tienen, in the Flemish province of Brabant, in Flanders. We have descended to 3,000 feet near Leuven (Flemish), or Louvain (French) as we turn toward Brussels Zaventem about 12 miles away. About five miles out with the airport in sight we have our gear and flaps down. Lined up on short final to Rwy. 25R at Brussels Zaventem. Touchdown. Taxiing to parking on the civilian side of the airport. Parked, systems shut down and passengers disembarked. We can see some of the buildings and aircraft on the military side of the airport.
