Rolls Royce engine transport to Airbus question

Recommended Posts

I was reading the article from earlier this year regarding the transport of the 100th Rolls Royce Trent XWB engine to Toulouse for the Airbus A350. I remember reading that the first engine went from East Midlands to Toulouse on an Antonov An-124.

http://www.rolls-royce.com/media/press-releases/yr-2016/pr-2016-02-16-rolls-royce-ready-to-despatch-100th-trent-xwb.aspx

Do you know if this is how they are usually transported?

Since Rolls Royce is the exclusive option for the A350 there must be a few engines leaving Derby every month bound for Toulouse, does anyone know of any other flights that have gone?

I live locally to East Midlands and often see large cargo jets (777, 744, 748) departing, but usually to other destinations or for F1 charter flights.

Regards,

George
