Hi guys, Sorry if this is off topic from flying and all that, but I have a question/problem concerning one of my hard drives and I know there are people that frequent these boards that know their stuff. So, here goes:
I just want to make sure of this before I do it and mess something up.
Anyway, I just installed a Western Digital 160 GB Drive as a second storage drive. The first problem I had was that I was only seeing 128 GB of the drive. I went ahead and formatted it and went on a search to find out what the problem was.
I found that out, got the rest of the drive to show. Now, I have the 128 GB partition and another part of the drive that is unallocated.
I know I can go ahead and partition the unallocated part as another drive letter, but I want it all one drive.
So, my question is this, can I delete the existing partition, then have a full unallocated drive to reformat as one large primary drive using disk management in WinXP? I think I should be able to, but like I said I want to be sure before I mess something up.
If anyone can help or point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it.
