Problems adding GPS

I've had success in the past adding a GPS to downloaded planes that don't have one (several Alabeo payware planes, e.g.). But I recently was unable to add one to a freeware P-51, even though I did what I've done before, which is:

Open panel.cfg

Add a window definition at the top -- such as "Window 03=GPS"

Then, right below the last other window, insert text from a functioning GPS in another airplane, like this

I just did all that, and there's no GPS mapped to any of the Shift + keys.

What am I failing to understand?

What was the freeware P-51? Link or zipfile name?

If I had to guess....It might be position=8 as the culprit. Try 1 or 2.

OH, NEVER MIND.

Somehow, the additional text had not been saved to the panel.cfg file. Now it has been, and it works fine.

(Wonder who made the mistake.)

Is your "Window 03=GPS" in the [Windows Titles] section?

e.g.

[Window Titles]

Window00=Airport Chart

Window01=Radio Stack

Window02=GPS
