    Default Gforce4 MX 440

    Changes: Just installed a gforce4 mx440 64mb
    Problem: FS2002 runs as before...even better....BUT when
playing I used to be able to press the ALT key and a drop
down menu appeared and I could change planes, get knee-board
ect.....NOW it does not show up visually. It's there when you
run the mouse over it but you cannot see it....

Anyone ever had this happen? Or have a solution?
Thanks in advance for any help guys....

I've got the same video card, and the same problem.

I used to have the Menu bar with an ALT key press, but it has now gone. I have made anumber of additional software changes, and lost my way with Restores.

Pressing ALT-ENTER gives me a window and the Menu bar, I make changes and then ALT-ENTER back to full screen.

Are you running Win XP? If so, did you install SP1?

If yes, uninstall the service pack. Menu problems will disappear.

I had exactly the same problem when I upgraded my card. Uninstalled the sp - problem solved.

    Thanks Jeff

Yes I am running XP with SP1. I'll try what fixed it for you when I get around to it. I seem to spend more time fixing software than flying!

Same card same problem after installing SP1! Did another update (Windows auto) a couple of days ago, and got a new driver, it works better, menu's are back but there are still some minor glitches, i.e. change plane from the inflight menu has no graphics, and menu drop downs leave black backrounds.

    The saga continues!
