FSX addons

my son is building me a new pc, all top of the line. os win10 & FSX Steam. It will be a quantum leap ahead for me.

are there any "must have" addons like the NOVAs and RWy12 etc for FS9 COF ? How about UT ? no point in having it with this pc.

 

There is a big difference in how much detail I now get in scenery addons. Some show detailed pics but all I get is a runway and some trees.Others I get lots of detail, though ships are on land and buildings in the water etc, guess due to no UT.

Also-what is the XPlane $15 thing I read about here ?

I've had FSX for 8 years and it's so beautiful straight out of the box that the only things I've added in all that time have been a strip of southern england photoscenery so I can see my house, Treescapes to put trees on it, and a bunch of mostly freeware planes..:)

Some add-on plane's have gauges, especially TCAS or ANR (airborne radar and ground mapping sort of thing) that require FSUIPC. You might want to look into adding it into your FSX-SE. I think it's worth the effort.

It's easy to find on THIS site. Jusst download it and stick it in the \FSX\Modules folder. If that folder doesn't exist, just make it yourself. Not difficult :)
