Flattermann
Hi, I tried now to load a normal zip-file as attachment, but I get the error message "Invalid File". Can somebody tell me why? happy landings! Christian:pilot: Intel i5-6600K CPU @ 3.50GHZ, 4 Kerne, 16 GB MSI RX 480; M. SATA WD 500 GB; WD RED PRO 2TB Win 10, 64 bit; FSX Gold Acc. rishabk97
Where are you attaching it? P.S. I believe it has some reference to Flight Sim right? http://www.crossed-flag-pins.com/animated-flag-gif/gifs/India_120-animated-flag-gifs.gifhttp://status.ivao.aero/414320.png
Flattermann
Yes, a FSX-simmer from the FSXforum has difficulties with a AI-Flightplan and I constructed it for him. The zipfile contains 3 txt-files and a bgl-file. The 3 files are loadable. A bgl-file I know isn't allowed. But within a zip-file I can in other forums attach. I tried attaching at my answer. Thank you for the quick answer happy landings! Christian:pilot: Intel i5-6600K CPU @ 3.50GHZ, 4 Kerne, 16 GB MSI RX 480; M. SATA WD 500 GB; WD RED PRO 2TB Win 10, 64 bit; FSX Gold Acc. il88pp
When you attach it you see a message why you can't. Only some images can be attached. .png and .jpg I think. Also a 500kb limit. You can place it in the library as your own creation, but then it's available to everyone and you must include documentation, a readme.txt. Easyert is to email it to your pal. Flattermann
OK, thank you, I have to accept, but I can't understand because at the Manage Attachments is written: Valid file extensions: bmp doc gif jpe jpeg jpg pdf png psd txt zip And this is obviously not true:confused: My zip file has 1KB! happy landings! il88pp
When opening the "manage attachments", from the "Advanced" options. I then clicked the question-mark sign at the top right, (see black arrow), and got this popup: .gif, .jpg, .jpeg, .png, and .txt files. No .zip files. I agree, it does mention them below the "Post Advanced" page. And I think it used to be possible a few years ago, but I didn't pay much attention to it. Seems that option has been disabled/removed. I mentioned some ways to do this in my the previous post here. Another thing you could do is upload the file to a file hosting site. Or put them on your own website. Then you can of course place a link to that page on this website. For an example of this, see Jim Robinsons post (post #20) here: https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?295452-Isn-t-there-supposed-to-be-a-To-From-indicator-for-the-Lear-45-HSI&p=1959105#post1959105 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
