8th Virtual Fighter Wing Recruiting!

Gentleman,

Months of hard work, development of training, we are finally at a place to open up membership for the community at large. Our features include IQT/MQT training with all pilots regardless of experience level proceeding through both with BMC status and full membership at the completion of IQT. From there pilots can enter MQT to learn tactical employment of the F-16 within the element, four ship, and package environment and become CMR allowing tasking to any mission set the F-16 could face.

We are an advanced wing, but it is taught with comprehension in mind in a way we feel is not overwhelming. The best candidates are folks with a lot of time flying Falcon BMS or Flight Simulator (tons of experience flying VATSIM with ATC) and will be the most likely to succeed and absorb the material. Our goal is to become one of the most renowned organizations within the community for training standards, SOP, and tactics. Features:

Singleton Flight Time - Allowed for Falcon Online singleton multiplayer or minor currency items only such as landing currency/SFO.

ARMS - Flight tracking, rank and statistics you will be able to see every flight you've ever flown for the 8th VFW.

ATO - Detailed listing of official wing training, event flights, and tactical engagements.

Custom KTO.33 Theater Installation with all CATM, air to ground training weapons for live weapon air to air training (0 damage with splashes to demonstrate ACM/BFM/BVR) with aggressor or standard perch setups and a training cannon for better BFM sight pictures. Plus a bunch of other goodies.

Transfer up to 100 hours of verifiable flight time from previous wing memberships.

What we require for potential cadets:

1. ENGLISH SPEAKING IS A MUST AND CLEAR COMMUNICATION.

 

2. MINIMUM 18 YEARS OF AGE.

 

3. ABLE TO START THE F-16 FROM COLD AND DARK AND PREPARE THE JET FOR TAXI.

 

4. ABLE TO CONNECT TO THE BOOM AND AERIAL REFUEL THE F-16. WHILE THE TIMING IN WHICH THIS OCCURS IS NOT IMPORTANT AT THIS STAGE, EVENTUALLY YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO COMPLETE IN A CONNECTION IS LESS THAN 60 SECONDS. THERE IS PLENTY OF TRAINING TO GET TO THIS LEVEL.

 

5. NOT AN ACTIVE MEMBER OF ANOTHER VFW, NO DUAL MEMBERSHIPS ALLOWED. THE 8TH VFW WILL CREDIT THE PILOT UP TO 100 HOURS OF VERIFIABLE FLIGHT TIME.

 

6. WILLINGNESS TO TAKE DIRECTION FROM IPS AND SENIOR PILOTS UNTIL THE SOPS, TACTICS, AND BREVITY ARE LEARNED FLUIDLY.
