Ravn Alaska

Hi Roger,

Glad to see someone still making stuff for FS9 - always been a fan of your work and would love to see more Alaska airports...

I'm pretty sure there are some Era paints that should be easily converted - with the proper permissions of course... I remember setting up traffic files using them in the past... Might make good stand ins until a true Ravn is available...

Regards,

Scott

Hi - yeah - probably - Era changed the name to Ravn to the best of my knowledge Looks like they kept the scheme only requiring a new letter job... Just keep in mind if you plan to distribute a mod of someone else's work - you need permission of the author... Honestly - as a fan of "Flying Wild Alaska" - Era would work for me and it's probably only a few years out of date.

Scott

Thanks. At this point I was just trying to get the question clear. Not planning to do the paint.

I started my first steps painting a few days ago, and am still figuring out gimp.

Semi-fan here too.:) Watch it when I happen to see it, but it's not like I set my alarm for when the show starts.

Nice to know this is the era paint. (hadn't realised!)

Somehow I was imagining a large 2 (4?) engine green+grey aircraft when thinking of era.

This may be the one I was remembering from the series. (They make a very different impression when seen on TV then when seeing a picture I notice. Probably look bigger with people walking round them.)

The nose also seemed more round.

I remembered this paint too:

Thanks!

Hi Folks,

All sounds good...

Just to set the tone - this is my favored FS9 Alaskan ride - the Carenado 206 (lead sled) painted in Hageland colors (predecessor to Era) that I converted to FS9 from an outstanding FSX paint job...

OBTW: For Alaska - the Aerosoft Anchorage and Fairbanks for FS9 are quite good...

Regards,

Scott
