Thread: I'm a pilot!

  1. Default I'm a pilot!

Well, for those of you who hold pilot certificates you know how I am feeling right now. I just passed my check ride today and now hold a 3rd class pilots licence! :-jumpy

I got a bit of luck here, I needed to get a SODA (statement of Demonstrated Ability) because of blindness in one eye. Because of having to take a medical flight with an FAA examiner he offered to do my check ride at the same time. The good part is the FAA doesn't charge. :-lol

Congratulations, Robbie, but what's a 3rd class pilot's license? Or is that a 3rd class medical with a Private license? In any case, I'm glas you were able to get your waiver.

Congratulations and welcome to the club. :-)

    Happy to hear you passed.

See, the FAA can be pretty cool sometimes and they do have some good people working there.

A GIIA in case you are wondering is a Guy/Girl involved in Aviation. Just list how you are involved, and you can use the designation. It's that simple.

Me, I am a PP-ASEL and an AOPA member, and now I am a GIIA. :-)

NO MORE SIG, as it had nothing to do with MSFS2002. It was a FLYII Sig.

Well it only took me about 14 months and $3,000. It took some extra time to get the medical stuff through the system and I could only fly as I got the money, but it just takes determination to set a goal and accomplish it.
