Default What would you like to see in FS2004 (Or whatever it will be)

I realy want to see more concentration on Co-pilots (So you can go and make a cup of tea in your flight without it canceling IFR!

Cabin Crew - This would be cool. Realistic Recordings not like ATC.

ATC flows better.

Emergancy - No gear landings, nose whell brakes off, Water Landings)

Realistic Jet sounds.

Realy good Air briges that work with your plane properly, and fit.

Real Airlines (British Airways, American Airlines)

More Mountains - The whole of the UK if flat.

More Planes - 757, Airbus: A330, and A300. ( I have a feeling that their will be a new helicopter)

Stick Up grass.

Thanks
Anymore Ideas?

The ability to uplink to actual airlines flight banks and have them actually fly real time in FS. (not going to happen, but a dream)

I just want MS to remember we don't all own a P4 3.0!!

The most pleasant surprise that came with 2002 was that it ran smoother that 2000 on the same machine! And still looked and worked better than 2k as well.I find that remarkable.

And we've all heard the saying "if it aint broken don't fix it"
Well this is not the case with the Lear 45;
it's broken...please fix it.

And also no more 'automobile dashboards'. If you move the pilot's view back only a few inches/centimeters then a) you don't need to cram all the gauges together, and b) you can add the cockpit frame to the windows,eh?

p.s.Of course I'm not suggesting the absurd jumpseat view either.

LAST EDITED ON Oct-27-02 AT 09:27PM (EDT)[p]Ok..I'm not bragging or anyting but I would be 100% amazed if I saw these features on the next FS release:

I. Airports

A. All should have jetways
B. Nicer looking apron textures
C. Taxiway Signs or Follow-Me Car

II. Scenery & Effects

A. Generic Night Textures (FSW made nice ones)
B. 3-D trees..better looking ones
C. Wind effect...Tree branches blowing in the wind (FSNAT is it called?)
D. BETTER LOOKING CLOUDS!
E. Misty rain effect (landing in rain with splash effect)

III. Plane Stuff

A. Real Airline Planes
B. Windsheild effect
C. More control in VC view. Ex..changing freqs w/ mouse while in VC view.

IV. Air Traffic Control-Not to concerned but would be cool if...

A. Declare Emergencies
B. Include Real Callsigns
C. Activate all runways at an airport
D. Close down airports due to bad weather in area.

Ok I'm done for now...if I think of anything else I will come back. Just so you know, I'm not expecting all of this (you can never get a sim so perfect!) but too see this in a sim would be SWEET!! Anyways that's what I would like to see in the future releaeses of Microsoft FLight Simulator. Hopefully we will have alot of features once the computer technology industries improve. I'd give it at least another 5 - 10 years. lol Have a good one everybody!

ALSO: Have the sim run smoothley on average running PCs. Features like the ones I listed above would be neat, but performance I think should come first.

LAST EDITED ON Oct-27-02 AT 10:21PM (EDT)[p]1) Co-pilot Checklist Read-off

2) Better failures!!!!! Although I can't complain, FS-Maintenence is good.

3) Holding Patterns

4) Better Spacing. Come on, 2-3 go-arounds every landing isn't exactly realistic?

5) Ability to make aircraft start in a "cold" state, without having to do that "make it cold then save it as default" routine.

6) Better clouds, better weather. The default weather always stays the same, but I want it to change randomly. (I haven't tried the weather gen I downloaded yet either...)

7) Better frame rates! This will only be a dream for FS2004, but it will come true in FS2002 when I get a new computer when FS2004 comes out...

8) Co-pilot in the seat! I know it sounds stupid, but you get lonely after 4 hours of flying.

9) I'm sure everybody wants this, but, better crashing! No no no, not to make it like a crash and that type of game, but the current crashing is unrealistic, when I crash I don't wanna see it stop and go back, I wanna see the whole thing, see what I did wrong, and not do it again!

Thats all I can think of right now.

Edit: Oh yeah, everything everyone said above.

Theres a saying that goes "If at first you don't succeed, try try again." To bad this doesn't apply to aircraft on low fuel :-lol :-wave.

I can understand all but one: why would anyone in his sanity need to see more default planes?

I sent all default planes and panels to recycle bin, from where it all was successfully deleted.

now, this is a smart thing I'd love to see in 04: sharp texture display at far distance, and further improvement of visual environment.

Taht's it.

Just one thing to add.........

When AI planes land, they should GET THE HELL OFF THE RUNWAY!!!!!!! They land and then stroll along at about 10 kts until the next taxiway comes up! This get extremely annoying when you are 4th in line to take off and by the time the fkr gets off the runway theres another plane on final! I wish they would make it so that the planes control their speed relative to their distance from the next taxiway. I don't know if that's possible, but hey it would make life a lot easier.

I agree!

A number of third party developers have come up with some really great flight dynamics. Even to the point of doing things that were not thought possible in MSFS. If MS wants to make it easier on the add-on developers to creat flight dynamics, then fine; but I don't believe a small number of MS programmers need to spend thousands of additional hours to create specific aircraft and dynamics.
