dbauder Posted August 11, 2015 Share Posted August 11, 2015 Nice shots, as always. I flew to PAFA (not all the way to Barrow!) to 'shoot' the Northern lights in March. It was cold enough for me in the Fairbanks area. Many years ago, I rode on one of the multi-stops between SEA and ANC, lots of fun. This latest trip was on 737-800s and 900s. BRRRR! :D I got to stop in Barrow a few hours when my squadron flew to Iwakuni on a DC-10 for deployment. Looked exactly as cold as your shots, too! Would you believe they have a huge (stuffed) polar bear in a glass case in the middle of the concourse? Looks scary, till you get close to it, then it just looks a bit ragged and moth-eaten and dusty. Kinda sad to see such a gorgeous animal like that... Pat☺ [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Had a thought...then there was the smell of something burning, and sparks, and then a big fire, and then the lights went out! I guess I better not do that again!
