~V Force Tour Vulcan XH558~ DAY 2

Last weekend, Vulcan XH558, departed Doncaster Airport in Yorkshire to fly over all her sisters in tribute to the huge contribution they made to defend the skies over Britain during the Falklands.

 

It was a truly memorable and emotional weekend, as she flew over each remaining Vulcan to wave goodbye - As she too, will be grounded forever in October.

 

All over the country roads were closed, due to the shear volume of people who wanted to see this wonderful aircraft one last time.

 

Flying over:

 

Bruntingthorpe,

Coventry,

Wellesbourne,

RAF Hendon Bomber Command museum,

Duxford,

South End,

RAF Marham,

Full displays at RAF Waddington and Cleethorpes sea front. Total flight time, just over 2 and a half hours.

Thanks Jim! It really is, the real thing is extremely cramped for such a large aircraft. Making the final approach and flare a challenge, especially with that over hanging tail!

WOW!!! Very nice pic's Steve. Love England pic's, I fly around Bristol alot that is where my mother is from. Been there one time.
