Edit functions hanging at "Connecting <whirly thing> again

The system will not allow me to delete a thread that I started less than a minute prior to trying to delete it. So I reduced it to the required 2 characters, but it won't let me delete or change the thread title... and now when I hit "Save," something seems to be sticking in the craw of the forum post editor again... I've waited up to 5 full minutes after pressing the "Save" button on a post edit, and still just see a spinny thing and "Connecting" or "Waiting for Flightsim.com."

Other functions seem as fast as always- navigating between threads and forums is fine. Just the Edit and posting functions (which require a write function) are hanging.

Please administer a laxative to dislodge whatever is stuck in there... :p
