Hi all,

Bit of a quick break from the Norway tour series to bring you my first test flight with my new toy :)

Thanks buddy, ever since the Flight Unlimited 3 days and their wonderful Beechjet 400A I've always wanted a fast bizz jet for FSX and P3D, Carenado are having a good go at this neglected sector but up until now haven't really managed to capture the magic of the FU3 version - The Citation and particularly the new Hawker come very close. The Phenom was a disaster in my opinion.

You make the plane look really good! I may have to rethink my decision of not purchasing! Well done!

Thanks very much, the more I fly this Hawker the more I like it... the systems may not be 100% accurate but for me at least, it's about the whole immersion experience and I'm enjoying learning how to use the FMS and the Hawker's various systems. First and foremost though, it flies very nice, sounds great and looks fantastic.

A nice addiction to the hanger, but not in the same league as the Turbine Duke for that feeling of an alive, breathing aircraft.

Very tempted to use this for a world tour though, it's perfect for zipping around the sky in comfort!

Yeah, I've read reviews from "purists" who were disappointed it's not exact as far as systems go. I'm in the camp of "if I can fly using autopilot and a flight plan, it's all good".

Lol

I'm curious though why you say they failed with the Phenom? Everything I've seen shows it's a decent aircraft.

Well, more from the perspective of the flight model (awful, the Citation and Hawker are much improved) and mainly due to the horrendous frame rate many were getting, including me, seeing drops from 40 to 2 or 3 fps. Carenado were very good about it though and I received a full refund.

Yes indeed another great addition... You've got to give them credit though for having a good go at the business jet market, it's been a huge area lacking in FS for some time! It's going to be a good year for flight simming :D
