Thread: New 3D Glasses?

  1. Default New 3D Glasses?

A couple of days ago I saw a segment on CNBC about 3D gaming glasses that appear to by made by a new vendor, Xtreme Technologies and not E-dimension.

The reporter tried on the glasses (no wires) and was genuinely amazed at the visuals. The software/hardware package is a hundred bucks. Apparantly, it works with standard TV broadcasts as well as "every game on the market" according to the company spokesman and it clearly worked with standard TV because that is what the reporter was looking at--i.e. himself on the CNBC program that was being broadcast.

Am I correct that these are different that the E-dimension glasses and has anyone tried them?

  2. Default RE: New 3D Glasses?

I saw the same show, I believe he was looking at himself through the computer monitor. They had a digital camera hooked up. I think their using a new software thats allows the stereo glasses to be used with a crt monitor, to view tv, via a tvcard, dvd movies, via a dvdrom. There are two typse of glasses wired or unwired. He also showed the dongle. It all looked like just what I have from Edimesional. I believe this software is also offered at E-D.

Sounds cool, I'd love to be able to sneek off to my room/office and view my flight dvd's in stereo.
