landing callout & being able to start my Airlines engines on my own

I am hoping that anyone of you flight simmers can please help me out on these two questions. I am trying to have landing callout 1,000, 500, 400, 300, etc... I thought all I had to do was add the FPDA Boeing_10ft etc... in my sound folder but what activates it? Also I want to be able to start my engines on my Airlines on my own how do I go about setting that up? Thanks much appreciated

Hi,

No, you also have to add the FPDA callout gauge to the virtual cockpit section of your plane's panel.cfg file (and have the gauge in the main Gauges folder). That is what activates them.

Almost all panels and VC's include controls to start the engines yourself. You will need to read the panel's/plane's text files which may tell you how that works. The switches are usually on an overhead panel, although this can vary.

Hope this helps,

Tom Gibson

I think perhaps he means his flights start with the engines running, Tom.

In which case, Kdierken, you need to edit your default C essna flight by shutting the engines down and saving switch settings etc. as you want to find then when you load a flight. Then save it, and you should be fine.
