Kdierken Posted April 19, 2015 Share Posted April 19, 2015 nice looking Goonie Bird, I spent 9 yrs in a Air Museum In Chino Ca. helping restore one to flight. It is a long way from flying as I moved out of State, but can always return from time to time to work on it. It is one of my favorite old birds of time gone bye. We just found out thru research that the Museums C-47 was in Normandy in WWll & was shot down. When it gets airborne that will be a special plane. Nice pic of it. I've been flying this C-47 with this beautiful "Silver Bird" paint and this amazing twin-radials sound package for several days now, and it is really a nice airplane with a great panel.
