Setting zoom in VC?

Recommended Posts

Hello, I have been playing around with the view in VC. I have changed wide aspect to = True, which has helped a lot. I keep finding posts that refer to changing the zoom to 0.7, 0.4, ext. Where is this done? I can't find it.

Thanks Scott

Is it just +/-? I thought FSX it was ctrl +/-.

Show ya how much I fly in FSX, though...

Had a thought...then there was the smell of something burning, and sparks, and then a big fire, and then the lights went out! I guess I better not do that again!

In case anybody surfs into this thread I might as well toss the following into the playpen as a reminder that sliding your eyepoint around in conjunction with zoom will customize your view even more-

VIRTUAL COCKPIT EYEPOINT MOVEMENT

(Hold keys down to slide your eyeballs)

SHIFT Enter= Up

SHIFT Backspace=Down

SHIFT CTRL Enter= RIGHT

SHIFT CTRL Backspace= LEFT

CTRL Backspace= Forward

CTRL Enter= Back

Hold CTRL and hit SPACE= Reset

These 3 shots show how different combos of eyepoint position and zoom give great flexibility-

And if you can't see ahead in some planes..

..simply use eyepoint to crank your head outside the cockpit..:)
