vride1
might seem like a silly question... when I download a new aircraft (of here, avsim, wherever) do I put all the aircraft's textures into the default/ existing FS9 "texture' folder? And where do I place the 'panel' folders? Thanks
ViperPilot2
Everything stays in its place; Panel, Texture, etc. There's no need to place anything in the root Texture Folder. Just paste the entire airplane Folder into the root FS9 Aircraft Folder. :pilot: "I created the Little Black Book to keep myself from getting killed..." -- Captain Elrey Borge Jeppesen AMD 1.9GB/8GB RAM/AMD VISION 1GB GPU/500 GB HDD/WIN 7 PRO 64/FS9 CFS CFS2
ColR1948
As Viper said above, sometimes you may see Gauges and Effects also in the folder they do need to be put in their respective folders, most times the README included tells you if anything needs to be put somewhere else. ViperPilot2
I forgot about Effects... thx ColR! :p There are some cases (especially with Bill Lyons' airplanes) when there's Scenery included with the Download; in this instance, there are Scenery and Texture Folders that will need to be installed into their Root FS9 Folders. If you choose one of Bill's offerings, just ask and we will gracefully assist you with the Install. :D "I created the Little Black Book to keep myself from getting killed..." -- Captain Elrey Borge Jeppesen AMD 1.9GB/8GB RAM/AMD VISION 1GB GPU/500 GB HDD/WIN 7 PRO 64/FS9 CFS CFS2
