mfsx has stopped working

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.

Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available

Above is the message I get when I try to start MSFX Gold Edition.

I ran repair but no success.

System is ASUS Sabertooth 990FX MB 8 Core Processor 4.33 Gig - 16 Gig mem

Asus GTX 760 2 mb GDDR 5 - Asus VG278 Monitor 3D - 64 Bit MS Win 7 professional

gaadgetman is hoping to get back in the air SOON - HELP!!!

Could be because of a corrupt logbook. To check and fix:

Shut down fsx.

Go to: my documents - flight simulator x files .

Rename the file logbook.bin to logbook.bin.bak

That way next time fsx starts it thinks there is no logbook and creates a new one. Check to see if fsx starts for now.

If fsx works now you had a corrupt logbook. You can copy the file logbook.bin.bak to a seperate folder, rename it back to logbook.bin and fix it with the recovery tool from the flightsim.com library.

The first thing to always try is to remove the fsx.cfg file (save it) and then start FSX and let it build a new one.

This usually does the trick. If not, try and think back to what the last change you made in FSX and reverse it.
