Ragtopjohnny
Hi all - After all these years, I finally bought X-Plane 10 to see what it's all about. I tried an earlier version, didn't like it, and this one is giving me a hard time from transitioning from FSX. I am wondering - are you able to use your rudder pedals with the simulator? I hope so. I found it odd I did not see them in controllers. Also, can you use your hat switch in Spot view? I haven't been able to figure that out as well. I'm just really wanting to get off the ground, that's all. I haven't been able to do that either. LOL Thanks for everyone's help in advance. :) http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o176/ragtopjohnny/NewSig.jpg http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-greet013.gif Checkout my new Facebook Page! https://www.facebook.com/pages/Airplane-Porn/1505438883035386 HP Z820 Workstation Intel Xeon 3.30ghz 8 Core Processor 2TB Hard Drive 16 gig of Ram 1125 Power Supply and 2 Gig Nvidia Geforce GTX 970. RatRace
Hi, and welcome to X-plane ! All the details for configuring your flight controls can be found here http://www.x-plane.com/?article=configuring-flight-controls Of course one can use rudder pedals (in fact, in X-plane one HAS to use rudder pedals) Select Joystick & Equipment, click on the Axis tab and slide the rudder pedals forward and backward and set the green/red bar that moves them to "yaw". Concerning the hat switch, Open the Buttons: Basic tab of the Joystick & Equipment window. Operate the hat switch, and select the functions "general command tilt up", "general command tilt down", "general command pan left" and "general command pan right". You"ll find those functions on the far right of the buttons page. For 8-way hat switches someone wrote a plug-in http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=15973

Ragtopjohnny
Thanks Dominic. I'm still having trouble getting off the ground. I programmed my GoFlight Throttle quadrant to throttles 1 and 2 and throttle 2 goes, but not one. I don't understand what is going on with it. I'll fool around a while more with it to see what happens. I'd love any tips to get off the ground. :) http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o176/ragtopjohnny/NewSig.jpg http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-greet013.gif Checkout my new Facebook Page! https://www.facebook.com/pages/Airplane-Porn/1505438883035386 HP Z820 Workstation Intel Xeon 3.30ghz 8 Core Processor 2TB Hard Drive 16 gig of Ram 1125 Power Supply and 2 Gig Nvidia Geforce GTX 970.
