Weird model error

Most addon aircraft payware/freeware may have a problem showing the aircraft with out SP2 installed. You get things like missing wheels, wings, or it looks like a skeleton. SP2 is essential and should be installed.

Right on, Bean!

System Requirements:

Flight Simulator X - Acceleration or SP2 (DX10 Preview compatible)

3.0GHz or any Dual Core

1.0Gb RAM

256Mb graphics card

Windows 8 / 7 / XP / Vista

1.0Gb hard drive space

Ok, Now I got another error

I installed SP2 and now FSX won't open at all. It says the direct X on my computer is incompatible. "please reinstall direct X 9.0"

I'm running FSX on windowns 8.1 with direct X 11.

Before SP2 FSX was running fine.

This is so frustranting.

I did a clean install of fsx + sp1 + sp2 and still got the directx error.

Help!

You will have to d/l and install DX9.0c. Actually though, that should have been installed when you installed FSX to begin with.

I did download and tried to install dx9.0c, but it shows the following message. "You must be running win98, Millenniun, 2000, or Xp to install the directx 9.0"

I gues I'll have to fly the default Dc-3 with SP1...

One last thing I can think of would be a driver for your Video Card that might allow the dx9.0c.

It worked!

Here is what I did. Disabled my antivirus, update video driver + reboot, instaled sp2 + reboot, instaled JF Dc-3 + reboot.

I don't know what did the trick, the video card driver, the reboots or turning off the antivirus at every instalation. But now it's working!

Thanks everyone that replied to this post, expecially mrzippy for your patience and kindness.

You're welcome!;) Glad to hear it's all working. I only wore out 2 "Bang Head Here" signs in the process:p
