Ken Thompson
I have a powerful computer so the only issues I ever have are OOM issue. I like to fly with Megascenery but sometimes like to change it up and not turn it on especially for night flying. I have Megascenery on a separate drive. I also use FSDT and other brands of airports. I use ASN for weather. Now my question; FSX default scenery is terrible as we all know. Does GEX gobble up VAS? It appears that I can turn on Megascenery over GEX when I want (as I do now with default scenery) with no problem. I am just wondering if I should install GEX or if I am compounding the VAS issue. av8tor98
I have not had any VAS issues while using GEX for a few years now. No, GEX does not gobble up VAS. Like you, I have Megascenery and other addon airports. I activate only the aiport(s)/Megascenery I plan on using during a sim session. So, no, GEX does not gobble up VAS. PPSFA
GEX for me actually improves performance, especially the latest versions
