New York default manhattan buildings gone

This is a new one for me, after 10 years of use. All the default buildings on the manhattan island have disappeared, statue of liberty also.

 

I have tried disabling all scenery in the library to check something was not excluding them. I have UT USA and restored all the files with the UT tool.

 

To double check, I then replaced the scenery/name folder with a clean install I keep to one side, having fired up that clean install and noted they were there.

 

Next, I took the newyork.bgl file out of that scenery/name folder and put it in it's own scenery folder at the top of the list.

 

Still the island is empty except for some small autogen buildings as you fly over. All the skyscrapers are gone and the cranes in the docks too.

 

Any ideas what else to try appreciated. All other areas with generic buildings are fine, like Toronto, or seattle for example. Just New York seems to be effected.

Tracked this one down to a corrupted AF2 file for KLGA which was excluding all building in New York, not just the ones associated with stock KLGA.

Our military might want to investigate this ...... sounds less expensive than nukes!
