Of course, FS9 has an amazing variety of toys, plenty for simmers of all persuasions.

Here are some for when you've parked the heavy metal, and want to escape for the weekend.

The Aeroworx King Air. Simply one of the best add-ons of any sim in existence. Those guys spent hundress of hours to produce a rip snorter. I recently purchased the Carenado C90b. What a major dissapointment compared to the Aeroworx. I got the C90 for $4 and figured it's not worth any more then that.

Anyway, awesome fs9 shots!

Bit harsh on the C90 there... you have to admit it is beautiful, as seen in the last pic!

It had issues, which were fixable: contact points, lights, other bits, all of which could be tweaked.

Mine is pretty good to fly now, and I enjoy it as a casual alternative to the also beautiful Carenado Baron.

As far as the Aeroworx bird is concerned: you preach to the already converted!

That's only external stuff. It's the turboprop engine operation that set the Aeroworx apart from the rest...or most at least.

Carenado didn't put any effort into getting the rising ITT with altitude correct. So its in effect no different from a default or freeware aircraft in that regard.

Pretty lousy effort considering the original cost. Same goes for all their turboprop aircraft that don't model the rising ITT. Their C208 Grand Caravan has a horrific FDE along with improper ITT operation.

Sorry, but you'd expect more from a 'quality' payware company.

Carenado pitched their FS9 models at folk who aren't all that fussed about rising ITT with altitude.

It's a valid sector, and presumably they sold a few.

Tweaking flight dynamics is entirely possible, fixing an ugly model isn't.

At the price point, they opted for the looks.

I'm totally comfortable with that approach, I'm not all that interested in GA, but somehow I own every Carenado product made!

They are one of the very few who have created high-poly FS9 models.

I suspect that's a lot of work; for that alone they deserve a standing ovation.

Heck I'd give them a standing ovation for just one of these (Bonanza) switches.

Actually no, it's the flip-down window. Just look at that chrome work.

  • 3 months later...

To some, this may appear to be a goofy little East European aeroplane... to me, a wonderful offering from some very skilled and dedicated modellers:
