ColR1948
I Just installed FS9 on another PC but then I went to alter a few things and edit an aircraft cfg, it wouldn't let me change it because I needed admin rights to do so. I went online and it shown me how to change the rights so I could edit and save, but then I wanted to delete a certain troublesome aircraft and again I needed admin rights, on my other setup I checked by right clicking the cfg files and there is no admin listed only 'Everyone' So does anybody know how I can change it so when I go to edit anything in FS I don't have to go through this changing process everytime please? pschlute
I expect you have installed FS9 in the default Program files (x86) folder. You should really have installed outside of any C/program files folder. Try turning windows UAC off, see if theat helps.

ColR1948
OK I fathomed it out, I went to the FS folder where it is installed, I right clicked on it and changed the admin rights, it then scrolled through every file then that was it, I can now edit and save.
