gdr54
Just asking for opinions on what might be better for a medium machine for FS2004 on at the moment Vista 32 bit. I am considering Active Sky Evolution Rex gor FS9 or the FSGRW I leanong towards Active Sky Evolution but I have read use Rex for the better textures and I really do not know much about FSGRW. Thanks for your thoughts
nadlzfw
For what it's worth, I use free weather FSrealwx and FSmetar and I'm satisfied...I have little to no desire to explore paid weather software. Nadlzfw
jgf
I'm also running Vista 32. I have ActiveSky and REX, use the former for weather but with textures from the latter. (Weather from ActiveSky seems more accurate and it loads much more quickly than REX.)
JSMR
I used the freeware wx engines and AS6.5. Recently just purchased FSGRW and find is the most amazing wx I've used. Far better then as6 and VERY easy to use. The wx depiction is some of the best I've seen. https://fshub.io/airline/RUA/overview
JSkorna
Use Active Sky Evolution. AS6 cannot be compared to it. http://www.air-source.us/images/sigs/000219_195_jimskorna.png
eric5150
I bought and use Active Sky Evolution. I also bought REX but you have to understand that the weather engine in REX only updates the weather by flying a certain distance (not by time). Active Sky Evolution lets you set the refresh rate for the weather based on time. REX textures can't be beat. I've use the freeware FSrealwx and FSmetar but they would crash often for me.
