FSX FA18 Inverted Exercises

You MUST have worked on the flight dynamics, as the Default F-18 dynamics doesn't work so good. Right? Right! And it takes a lot of practice to do both inverted under GG Bridge and trap using the HUD. Nice video. (I think you hit the water at end of video...nerves shot? hehe).

That's the default F-18 with no changes. It was flying at about 5% fuel. Traps work better with a lighter aircraft.

In the video I hit the water twice while inverted (before the carrier landing and before the bridge). While inverted you can skim the water without crashing; it will just deflect you back in the air. It's not something you'd want to do in a real aircraft, but it's something fun to do in the sim. The deflection is different depending on how hard you hit the water, and if you hit the water too hard it will register as a crash (with crash detection turned on).
