Adding scenery using WED or Open Scenery X

Hi all I am new to this and have questions regarding scenery. I live in Prescott Arizona and our local field, Prescott Love field KPRC in X Plane 10 is just a flat field with 3 runways and nothing else. I want to have a Home airport that looks like an airport.

I have been looking at all the info I could find and found WED and Open Scenery X. I opened WED and tried to figure out how to add scenery to KPRC and could not even find out how to get the name of the airport into objects window to start adding scenery. The manual does not explain how to start or open an existing airport to begin adding scenery.

 

So anyone out there who can get a computer dummy like me started in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Adding

You have to import the apt.dat file which will then let you get the basic airport that you see in XP. WED is addicting. And when WED 1.4 comes out we will be able to to photo scenery. http://developer.x-plane.com/videos/creating-airports-with-worldeditor/

I have the apt.dat file, but how do I import the file into WED? I am not computer savy so I need help.
