Once again you are da man! I'm just getting back into WWII fighter aircraft and the P-40 was always a favorite! Especially with Marion Michael Morrison and the "Flying Tigers" flying out of China. I just did a quickie with the P-40E Kittyhawk.

Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!  ✈️

Great shots Adam, they all look amazing.

I have (had? lost track over the years...) a great-uncle on mom's side that was with the Tigers (AVG) in their heyday. He had a plethora (big word for the day!) of war stories. Still had his Jacket with the Blood-Chit sewn on the back. Uncle Newt, we all called him...

Little side-note: The shark-mouth on the nose was there because the Japanese thought it was a demon chasing them...scared the heck out them, Uncle used to say. Those P-40's were tough too. Take tons of impact from Japanese gun rounds and keep right on flying. Amazing, simply amazing...

By the way, IMO, the US Army screwed every one of those pilots over, from Col. Chenault on down. Uncle did too. Still carried a lot of resentment.

Pat☺

Had a thought...then there was the smell of something burning, and sparks, and then a big fire, and then the lights went out! I guess I better not do that again!

Sgt, USMC, 10 years proud service, Inactive reserve now :D
