I just installed everything on a new PC. Took me 1.5 days. Whats wrong now??? I had a problem previously with weather.dll but that was caused by FSUIPC. What is this g2d.dll??? Been looking forward to play fsx on a new laptop for a long time.:(

Can someone tell me how to fix this? I searched on google and each one had different answers.

Thanks,

Aaron :D

Update directX and see if that helps.

And make sure you have this in your fsx cfg file:

[bufferPools]

UsePools=1

Poolsize=8388608

And this little pice further down:

[JOBSCHEDULER]

AffinityMask=14

And finally this pice must be there too:

[GRAPHICS]

HIGHMEMFIX=1

Add these small lines, and i think you will be fine..

It does say the faulting module is g2d.dll, not g3d.dll :D

Anyways, I'm not sure about il88p. Gosh... I don't know what to do. These fatal errors only happen quite long in the flight. I rather get and error on loadup than wait 45 minutes then get the error.

okay, lets start to tear down your fsx.

What addons did you install after you were done with installing and tweaking fsx? Please list them one by one, maybe we are in luck..

And you should not used the default location when installed the fsx, you should have used C:/FSX and that could have saved you from getting this error at all, who knows..

I tweaked fsx after installing all addons using this:

http://www.venetubo.com/fsx.html

I have multiple aircrafts:

Carenado Beech Baron, C185

PMDG 737NGX

ORBX FTX Global+Freeware Terrain Mesh and all AU freewares

Aerosoft Twin Otter Extended

Quest Kodiak

A2A Accufeel and C172

Etc.

I just finished installing and everything today. Can't be ORBX, because I experienced the problem before installing. I'm not sure yet, but I only encountered my problem when using PMDG 737NGX at Kuala Lumpur Airport. (I did a few bush flights in Alaska too without problems, maybe they were not long enough)

I'll look into that link il88pp

Here is your problem, i know it is, try to disable this addon: PMDG 737NGX

Then make a default A320 flight, and see if it stops in midflight, if not, your problem addon is PMDG 737NGX thats for sure, they are know to cause problems, trust me i know, thats why i stay away from PMDG 737NGX as much as possible, so try disable it and then you make a flight with defalut A320 or B747-800 or any long distance planes, see if it stops in mid flight after 45 mins or so, if not, there is your problem..

I also suspect this might also cause the problem for you, make sure you have latest version of this installed: UIAutomationCore.dll

Hope this will solve the problem for you.

Do you have the orginal fsx.cfg backed up? If so, try a rollback to the orginal one and implement those changes i gave you earlier, worth a shot..

Sorry, but that did not work. Maybe a problem with GSX, FSPassengers or PMDG 737NGX?

Or it can be a more complicated hardware problem? O_o

Gosh, I hope I get this resolved soon. I'm gonna go travel to Malaysia on next Thursday (in real life, not in sim :P) where I won't have access to internet.

Thanks,

Aaron :D

it falls back to the gd2.dll file, well, what size is your file and what version does it have, in case you can try out my file.. Remember to backup the old gd2.dll file first, but i suspect you have latest nvidia drivers, that can cause serious problems, try to roll back to a previous version of the drivers, that might solve the problem..

What are your computer specs?

The Affinity Mask setting is processor specific and 14 may be wrong for your PC. (Not that I think it matters much, I do not think that tweak has any real value.)

Right now I'm using the bojote tweak which puts it at 14. I have a dual core cpu, with hyperthreading on. 3.1ghz.

I would try uploading my g2d.dll file, but I'm not sure whether EULA allows it(meh, it's faulty anyways :P).

I don't know what version it is, it is some kind of computer language. But it is made in 26/09/2007

Could it be caused by an addon? Or is it a problem with the file itself?

Thanks for all your help, I really appreciate it :D

Well, backup your gd2.dll and place this in same folder as fsx are in, remember to either rename it or back it up.

this is the file: GD2.dll

Remember to backup your file first and try this, its a bit newer version and might work or not, but it is worth a try.
