I have recently installed Project AI and all of the self installing airline flight plans. Everything runs great except the default fictional liveries are still there. How can I get rid of these unrealistic planes. Any help would be very appreciated.

Did you install the base installer first? And did you make sure to check the box saying "I want GA traffic only"? If not, you may have to run the base installer again and reinstall all your airlines. Sorry.

Hmmm, thus far in my AI career I have stayed away from Project AI until I learned the basics of what it is doing, so i can't help you there. However, if you have Traffic Tools (which I think you need for PAI - yes?) and can do some manual editing, I see a solution:
First decompile your traffic.bgl using TTools. Then, open the newly created aircraft.txt file and change any entries that match the "Title" entry of a default airliner's textures (found in its corresponding aircraft.cfg file) to something other than a default airliner. You may want to try something pretty worldwide that wouldn't look out of place in any major airport 'cause those default airliner flightplans are all over the globe. Recompile with TTools and away you go!
Of course I'd love to hear any other ideas myself. But this is all I can think of at 2:00am... :-sleepy
