I could do a nice VFR from Calgary to Kaslo then from Kaslo to Crawford Bay then Crawford Bay to Creston then Creston to Kaslo and finally Kaslo to Vancouver Intl. Then 2 days later I did a flight from Vancouver Intl to Port Hardy. All with no problems. Then I attempted a flight from Port Hardy to La Ronge and in about 1-2 hours (real time) later the game crashed, I attempted the same flight multiple times and had crashes at randomn intervals. I tried other flights and the game always crashes at randomn intervals. I attempted to do an IFR from Calgary to Edmonton and as soon as I get to cruise altitude and start to relax the game crashes. I can't take it anymore. I tried to uninstall all my add-ons including Acceleration but that didn't work. I tried putting UIanimationcore.dll in System32 and my root FSX folder. NOTHING WORKS! I am at wits end and am seriously considering moving to X-Plane. Any replies would be appreciated as Flight Simulator is something that has almost become a need. It is an escape from the usual drudgery of life and helps me relax. Something that I really need as I have ADHD. Thank you for any help.
StringBean
5 GB RAM (2 of my slots are broken) That might be part of your problems. I tried putting UIanimationcore.dll in System32 and my root FSX folder. NOTHING WORKS! Do not put it in System32. It belongs in the root FSX folder. Which version are you using? There are 2 versions that work, some people need one, some the other. peace, the Bean WWOD---What Would Opa Do? Farewell, my freind (sp) Never argue with idiots. StringBean
I do not know what version I am using. You can find that kind of info for any file by right clicking on it and looking at the Properties. peace, the Bean WWOD---What Would Opa Do? Farewell, my freind (sp) Never argue with idiots. scott967
That might be part of your problems. Do not put it in System32. It belongs in the root FSX folder. Or SysWOW64. It's a windows thing but System32 is for 64 bit apps and sysWOW64 is for 32 bit apps. go figure. But fsx root is best, as that way other 32 bit apps aren't affected by using the older dll. scott s. . jorgen.s.andersen
Put the file in the root of FSX and nowhere else, otherwise it may overwrite a later version which you may need for other applications. You'll find the version of the file by right-clicking and then selecting Properties. I have v. 1800 and it works fine. Jorgen
