mdavenport
I've just built a new PC based on NickN's guide (or as much of it as I can). I have the following setup:- i5 3.4 ghz 16GB RAM C: = 128GB SSD for OS D: = 500GB SSD (Samsung 840 EVO) for FSX Gigabyte GTX 750Ti 2GB GPU 3 x 23" IPS Monitors running Nvidia Surround 5760 x 1024 x 32 RES Software wise, I have the following Win7 x64 FSX + SP2 PMDG737-800 UK2000 UK Airfields ORBX - Global Base ORBX - Global Vector ORBX - OpenLC Europe All NickN's tweaks carried out... including Nvidia Inspector I am getting around 20-25 FPS but I am getting screen corruption. Is 25 FPS good for this spec PC? The left and middle screen are fine but the right hand screen is getting some corruption. It comes and goes but doesn't go completely. Here are a couple of screens shots of the right hand screen:- Without Corruption - http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/mdavenport555/IMG_0920.jpg With Corruption - http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/mdavenport555/IMG_0924.jpg With More Corruption - http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f279/mdavenport555/IMG_0915.jpg Any ideas to what is causing this as I am a bit stuck? copperpen
Probably too high resolution. Gigabyte website says Digital max resolution 4096 X 2160(via 2 HDMI), although it does also say you can run up to 4 monitors I suspect that will be sort of one desktop per monitor. mdavenport
Would you expect to see the corruption under windows and not just FSX then? One other thought is, could it be that this monitor is using DP and the others are using HDMI? Would I be better to connect the 3rd screen to the spare DVI and setup a new surround? il88pp
Mark, unrelated question, why is part of the images black. Does fsx only fill the top-left of the monitor? Or is the black just a background in photobucket? (thinking of buying monitor, wondered about that image.) thanks in advance, il88pp. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

My sim is in the loft and the lights were out. copperpen
Corruption in Windows would I think depend on just how much data is being displayed at the time. I am not sure about using the DVI, but worth a shot. I still think though, based on the info on the Gigabyte site the screen resolution is too high. According to TomsHardware the only single card that will drive three monitors at your resolution is http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HSY1RVC/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B00HSY1RVC&linkCode=as2&tag=amzon0c-20. Other than that you are looking at dual cards in SLI mode.
mdavenport
I've swapped the DP with a DVI cable and the problem 'appears' to have gone away. I've also managed to connect the 4th port (the new spare DP) to a 4th monitor that I can put the 2D main panel on this. All seems to work fine at the moment... fingers crossed.. Still getting around 25 FPS in VC with Trackir running - is this good?
