schick
Hi all, I'm using BDO Aviation scenery for Kuala Lumpur International and Bali International. Somehow all the WOAI planes arent showing except for the nav and taxi lights. Any idea how to rectify this? schick
Disable "Aircraft casts shadows on the ground" (Settings->Display->Aircraft). Wim Thanks Wim! It worked. Are you able to explain why this is happening? Flattermann
Hi, it is a speciality of FSX (or FS9). WOAI-planes are mostly FS9 planes and some of them can't be shown in some (newer) FSX-sceneries. The trick with the shadows can help in such cases. happy landings! f16jockey_2
It's a combination of four things: a) using FSX SP2 (or Accel) b) the use of not native FSX AI models (such as WOAI) c) an add-on scenery using the older SCASM technique for ground textures (TropicalSim comes to my mind, some/most(?) Aerosoft as well I think d) check ground shadows So you if one of them is disabled, the problem doesn't show. Either you can downgrade to SP1 (not an option IMO), upgrade all AI traffic to FSX native models (available for most WOAI models, but takes quite some work), use another scenery or check off ground shadows. The latter takes the least work and you gain on CPU/GPU workload, so ... Wim ... and some of them can't be shown in some (newer) FSX-sceneries. Just the contrary (see above...) I tried the new scenery LGTS X 2014 (March 2014) and there I have the mentioned problems. I have FSX Gold. With elderly sceneries I have no problems. happy landings!
