Douglas DC-6B

The DC-6B was powered by 2,500 hp Pratt & Whitney R-2800-CB17 Double Wasp engines. Myself and some of the other older fellas here can remember that sound, along with all the other great aircraft of the 40, 50 and 60's.

Awesome, and I remember that sound VERY well! Thanks for the memories!:cool::cool:

About the "sound":

Bit of a dusty runway there. Need to run the hoover round.

Great shots by the way Adam. :)

Gonzalo, Peter, Jan, Bill, Aharon, Joe, Larry and Paul, thank you very much. :)

Jan, nice sound indeed. :D

Bill the plane is on the expansion pack for the DC-6.

Paul I have an idea, we'll just grab the old Peerhoover by the ankles and run him around the runway. :D

Thanks Adam - that addon pack may be my Xmas present to myself - a few years back in the r/w this very airplane saved me from being stranded in San Francisco :D

I'm not sure how much he's going to like that. Also we will then have to clean up the inevitable burning wreck of Jan's arrival. :)
